You know those books that you read and as you read them you just know that your life will never be the same? Well, that's exactly how I felt as I turned the pages of Keeping His Way Pure..
I must admit that this book was not exactly what I expected - thinking that there would be suggestions such as "Keep him away from girls at all times." Well, maybe not that strict - but, definitely in a legalistic tone. But, instead I learned how to teach my son how to put on the Armor of God as well as how to protect him in other ways spiritually. Wow! How much more confident would I be that his heart would be kept pure knowing that he was outfitted with the armor than by my faithfulness at following a random list of rules...
I really enjoyed this book and wholeheartedly believe that If you have boys, you NEED this book!
Tammy, the creative mind behind Unique Family Vision, has written an amazing book that any mother, but especially boy moms will want to read. I know that I have wrestled and worried and agonized about just exactly how are we going to teach and instill in our precious sons that purity is important – - – even if no-one else they know is living like it?
This is the question that Tammy tried to answer in her book, Keeping His Way Pure. Her source? The sharp, and powerful Word of God. The prologue to the book recounts a time on the mission field in an Asian country, where they witness the power and might of the Word of God. It was incredible. I had chills while I was reading it. That is the power of my God. That is the power of the incredible book that He has given for us. This instruction manual for how to live our lives. Using Psalm 119:9 as the guide, Tammy gives us plans of attack for the parent that needs guidance, and loads us up with resources and ideas...

typical review/giveaway for my blog. I usually try to just keep this blog
gluten free, books, recipes, and so forth. I have to make an exception
here. Keeping His Way Pure
is just too good to not share with you!... Keeping His Way Pure is jam packed
with reminders of what our biblical responsibilities are as
parents. It is an amazingly easy read. I was able to read it out
loud to my husband on a road trip to Huntsville. It took me about an hour
and a half. Something you could easily tackle during naptime, but
something you can continue to reference on a daily basis to help you Keep His Way Pure. Even my
husband is being challenged by this book…This book is not just another book
that you will read and then put away and not ever read again. This is a
book that will help guide you with your son on a daily basis…

for you. I seriously want to hug this gal’s neck. There are several
suggested year-long plans (based on 1 scripture per week) laid out at
the end of this book....I love Tammy’s humor and the conversational manner in which she writes,
and I found myself nodding along with some of her examples….yep, been
there, done that. =)...
